Say goodbye to ICU

On Tuesday my mom and Jami were chillin' in ICU when the nurse came in and asked if they were ready to go...they were like "huh?" Turns out that Jami was able to move to the intermediate care unit (IMCU). It's similar to ICU, she still has her own room and they monitor visits and such, but it's in the newer part of the hospital and they check vitals every 2 hours rather than every hour. It's a waaayyy nice room, but Jami is sick and tired of being in the hospital. She just wants to be better and home. Right now the only thing that is keeping us here is that she needs a bipap machine to help her breathe at night and we're jumping through the hoops to get the insurance to cover it. Rather than just send us home with the machine we get to stay here and wait for approval. Oh well...such is life.

Jami's room is right off of the helicopter landing pad, so if anyone is lucky enough to take air med in the next couple of days make sure to wave...

Oh and just so everyone knows how much better Jami is really doing she actually drank a whole Coke today...yup...she's back :)
