On Thursday Jami went from SICU to IMCU(intermediate care unit). The rooms are much bigger and it's in the new part of the hospital so it's VERY nice there.
On Friday Jami sat up for the first time in a week and boy was she weak. (Check out my uber English skills and knowing the difference between week and weak...)
She did gain quite a bit of water weight this trip. They pump her full of water when her blood pressure is low. This usually takes us FOREVER to get it back off, but amazingly she's actually been pushing a lot of it off naturally this time (without the furosemide). This is her knee with a fingerprint in it when she sat up.
On Saturday my mom and I actually left Jami for a little bit to go shopping. It's bonus time at work and well...mine was burnin' a hole right in my pocket :) We went to the outlets in Park City and we'll just say it was fun. We also went to See's candy to get Jami some hard candies to suck on. When we were in the gift shop on Friday we noticed they had the suckers so we bought Jami a couple. She loves them so we went and got her a couple of boxes of the smaller candies. We also bought some truffles for us to share and even Jami got into that.
On Sunday my dad came down to hang with us. Here he is helping Jami. It's always fun when we're together!
Jami actually surfed the internet for a lot of the afternoon. She only had 197 emails to go through. She was also looking at what she needs to do to keep her pharmacy tech license. Yay! It's great to have her feeling better!!!
On Monday we took Jami home!!! I was dealing with some work issues, so I was frustrated with that and didn't get pictures (gotta love work), but she got home safe. Once she was home she was even up to playing Animal Crossing with me later that night. I got to plant a couple of coconut trees in her town.
Phew! That's a really condensed version of the week, but things are great and we're happy Jami is home again!!
