A little longer

Every time I post that Jami will be going home soon that deadline gets extended. It looks like she'll probably be in through the weekend. The doctors are actually starting to really consider surgery. Essentially what they are thinking is that they will take the short amount of intestine she has before the perforation and create an ileostomy. This would make it so that things drain out into a bag rather than inside her and make it so we have to keep adjusting the drain that goes in her. There are risks, but one of the things we are fighting right now is infection. Because things are draining directly into her abdomen there are a lot of infection possibilities. We don't have details (as usual), but as we know more I'll post. Today they have it scheduled to put in a new central line. Her veins are pretty weak, but hopefully it goes smooth.
